Some History:
On April 10.1912, R.M.S. Titanic with 2200 passengers on board left Southhampton on its maiden voyage to New York. Titanic was built by Harland and Wolff in Belfast and offered its passengers every possible comfort. This most luxurious liner, considered unsinkable at the time, measured 270m in length and 28m in width with a maximum speed of 24 knots. On the evening of April 14, 1912 the Titanic collided with an iceberg that had suddenly appeared out of nowhere. In the resulting panic it was impossible to abandon ship in an orderly and organised manner. Within 3 hours this giant liner sank, taking 1500 passengers down with it.
